His 405 was a bit relectant to start, mostly down to low cranking speed / tired starter motor. The 306 he got next, 'flew over' in comparison.

I have a p reg 1.9 td and have noticed noisy clatter from time to time. When running normal (70% of the time) its really quite and runs brill, but occassionaly it clatters usually when going through gears (as the revs drop) or idle. I also experience this problem. Today i put £10 in 10 miles later the fuel light goes on i got out and 10 mins later fuel light went off and hasnt been on 50 miles since??? do i need a new sensor and how much? xud 1.9td

I tried this for 2 weeks revs on about 750 rpm but occassionaly it makes a really noisy crackling noise when accelerating sometimes it goes away and sometimes it stays (sounds similar to an old tractor) ive turned the revs back up and it seems to be ok apart from low mpg any clues???

1.9 td staying on auto choke (cold start) 1000rpm
i finally found a 406 td glx and bought it yesterday but noticed it stays constantly at 1000 rpm and gets a bit hot sometimes due to this. does anyone know how or wot i can do to sort it? many thanx in advance ;)
