Got the same problem on my X reg 2.0lt HDI , What's the sensor that I can remove on top of the Gear Box housing for? As I gather there are two, although it's usually the one shown here that causes problems. Mine started after having the clutch change, coincidence? Do you think?

I had a similar problem with a year 2000 1.8. Went through the usual checking process and got nowhere. The immobilizer, BSI and ECU are all linked.
