If it is the o ring that's failed would this cause fuel to sit on top of the filter housing on the lid?

Thanks pgascoyne al have a look at that 1 aswell but when I had a look the other day the filter housing was soaked in diesel and also diesel sitting on the lid! So I'm baffled and it only seems to happen on veryy cold mornings!

Hi Lozz. I did think it was the housing at 1st as it was covered in diesel and there was some sitting on the lid. But I cleaned it all up and stood and watch it with engine running then I spotted diesel dripping from under the pump! It is a strange 1 tho as it only seems to leak when its cold :? So ...

Ive just been out in the car now and it seems ok, the one thing i did notice is that the clutch pedal was stuck halfway so i put my foot under it and pulled it back up. Car seems a lot better now. Does this happen a lot? Mines also had the clutch problem sticking half way but never got to the botto...

Well I've had another look and the fuel dosent appear to be coming from the regulator. I've cleaned it as best I can but with fat fingers its not easy!
Is there anything on the back of the pump that could be leaking? Does anyone know what's on the back of them?

Well is that not just typical I go out and clean the pump up as best I can so I can see where the leak is coming from.
Turn it over and nothing not even a small drip lol
So I'm still none the wiser to where its coming from
