Hi there. For those who read this, I have now adjusted my gear linkage and it needs to be done under the bonnet, quick job really. Much better now. Also did the removal of the metal band in the air filter housing. Thanks for your reply.

Hi there, I have not actually done anything about it yet as I have only just got the car, but from my memory (used to have a 2.1TD and these have the same linkage i think) the linkage is of the more modern cable type rather than rods and ball joint linkages, so not sure what can be done. Hi All. I am new here and this is my first post. I own a 1998 V6 and I think the gear stick position is slightly too far forward when in the neutral position.
