Thanks for that dogslife. I feel confident taking this on TBH, having just one cam pulley to worry about (along with the crank pulley) should make getting the belt on & tensioned easier.
Any info on torque settings for the bolts that go back on? Or is this stuff in the Haines manual?

Re: 2.2 HDi (DW12TED4/4HX) Timing Belt Replacement
Tks for that dogslife. On a separate note are you running the 180BHP remap defap file doing the rounds on the 406CC forum? Any issues with it? Any worries about the turbo, piping, brakes not being up to all the extra horses? Have not done this yet but have my hands on the ECU remap file and Galletto...

Re: 2.2 HDi (DW12TED4/4HX) Timing Belt Replacement
Thanks guys for that info. Am I correct in saying that although the car is a DOHC there is only one camshaft pulley and that the 2 camshafts are connected by a chain? Is this chain something that needs servicing and if so what's the interval? Yes I seen jasper5's recommendation on tensioner hand ten...

Re: Hello
Dogslife, I came across this by you on one of the knowlwdge base articles: "Well, I've reprogrammed mine to recognise the r/c plip again, (which it refused to do after disconnecting the car battery)" How did you do that as something similar happened with my Coupe; it just stopped recognising the r/c...
Re: Hello
Lads, here is a good picture guide of changing the cam belt on a 406 Coupe V6 by one of the lads on the 406 Coupe forum.
A good reference and some useful tips.

Thanks for that. Might get in touch when I go to Defap my car.

Re: Hello
Dogslife, on the link you provided it mentions "dealer servicing manual you can download for free". Got any idea where I can get this?
Tks

Re: Hello
Thanks very much for the reply and the link Yeah, i'm gonna take the same 'overkill' approach as yourself. I'm replacing the cam belt, idler & tensioner as well as the aux belt, idler and tensioner and prob the crankshaft pulley as well. Going to slip off the aux belt first and check the idler/tensi...
