Re: Xsara Picasso fog lights

Yep, I am being stupid! They are on the stalk, on my old vectra they were both to the right of the steering wheel just above my knee, cheers!

Xsara Picasso fog lights

Maybe I'm being stupid but how do I turn them on? I thought it was the 2 switches to the right of the steering wheel but I now know they are to adjust the headlamp aiming. The pdf manual I have suggests its the left stalk that controls the lights. Any ideas?

Re: Picasso HDi stuttering?

Are these additives actually worth it though? Lot of negative comments on the net about Millers and Redex, found a Which article which tested a dozen of them with no noticeable difference, recommended a 50mile drive to clear the cobwebs instead.

Picasso HDi stuttering?

Hi all. With the weather getting colder, my Picasso always takes longer to start from cold. But yesterday it nearly cut out after just starting it while I was trying to reverse out of my space at home. It seemed like the revs dipped very low about 3 times, put the clutch pedal down and it did keep r...

Re: Speaker mounts

Stock speakers aren't much cop anyway, can get a pair of cheap aftermarket replacements for £20!

Xsara Picasso offset

As above, I've posted in another couple of forums but no ones come back to me, can anyone on here advise me what the offset and pcd is, I'm assuming its similar to Peugeots?

Re: Engine Fault light on my Picasso hdi

And I fitted it Saturday! Looks a bit different from the old one, has a flange mount on it so it could fit xantias too, but it fitted fine. I've driven the car about 50 miles at the weekend and the light hasn't come back on! But having used my code reader it still brings up P0341, the camshaft posit...

Re: Intercooler on the 406 hdi 90

Unless you want more than 125bhp there is no need for an intercooler. Try looking on here, its where I'm going for my picasso to be remapped:

Re: Rear speakers not working

I would just turn it off manually, I always do, never left it on. And if you've bought an aftermarket stereo ie pioneer, alpine etc it will have a removable faceplate for security so you've still got to touch it anyway.

Re: Rear speakers not working

I'm sure you just need to swap over a couple of wires on the iso cable. Sure someone else on here can confirm, I think there is a yellow and a red wire that need swapping over, that way the stereo will remember the settings.

Re: Engine Fault light on my Picasso hdi

I've bought one of these today: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-XANTIA-XSARA-PICASSO-1-9-2-0-D-HDi-MASS-AIR-FLOW-METER-SENSOR-5WK9621-/161083974288?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item25815a6290 Hopefully that will fix it. Been googling a lot about EGR blanking too so will probably give ...

HDi Tuning

Been looking at this website for tuning my picasso, seems pretty decent:

http://www.hdi-tuning.co.uk/index.html

They do a map to take the 90bhp motor to 125bhp and 275nm torque for £95. Galletto 1260 tools on ebay are around a tenner as well.

Re: Upgrading from stock

In my old D8 saloon I replaced the fronts with a set of Alpine SXE 1750S components, they were cheap when I bought them new years back, you can get a set of them now for around £45. I only fitted the door speakers as I couldn't be bothered faffing around with the tweeters but they did sound better t...

Re: Engine Fault light on my Picasso hdi

Used my code reader for the first time just now! Came up with P0341 which is something to do with the camshaft position sensor, P0401 which is egr flow insufficient and P3007 which is air flow signal flow too low. So I definitely will be buying a new maf to try out! Is it worth getting the egr valve...
