Re: Replacing House Central Heating System
Hi Cement and plaster are corrosive and so any pipework has to be wrapped in corrosion resistant material. Plastic or copper pushfit fittings all have a rubber sealing washers.. They may be guaranteed for 10 years, but rubber when it gets hot and cold dries out and perishes and then leaks. So if you...

Hi
I've never tried it, but Garlic is good at treating most things. It has antibacterial, antifungal properties, as does tea tree oil.

Hi
You need to remove the rear drums and free off the expander mechanism. Clean it up with abrasive and copperslip to lubricate.
You should then have a perfect handbrake.
I never had a problem with mine !!

Re: Uneven Rear Tyre Wear
replace top links both sides and then 4 wheel laser wheel alignment.
I try to use good quality top links because tracking is £50 and you don't want to pay for this too often

Re: Changing near side track rod.
Oh sorry, I now understand that you want to change the inner tie rod.
If you consider that 4 wheel laser tracking is approx £50 and the cost of the special tool, and the inner tie rod, I'd go with the garage doing it.

Re: Changing near side track rod.
You will find that it's far easier and cheaper to change the track rod end alone. To change the track rod as well, you'll need a special tool, it won't just unscrew, you need to grasp the knuckle joint e.g. http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/140894097004?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgs...

Re: My Beautiful ''Miss Pug'' [A Working Progress!]
Hi I have found these type of sockets, that have internal teeth, very handy. I have even ground straights with an angle grinder onto a rounded bolt so that they can get a good grip. What is important, is that the rounded bolt, is given a resounding strike with a metal hammer to try and "SHOCK " the ...

Re: 2002 406HDi Driver Electric Window Problem
There's quite an easy fix for this. It happen to me recently and while looking for a new switch on ebay, I saw a guy was offering the instructions to repair the switch but only on D9's. Anyway, I thought that I try to dismantle it and see what the fault was. If you remove the switch from the door ca...
