Re: what's this?
Ok figured it out. When attempting to pull it out to return it to ade I'd noticed the nut just above the hole seemed loose. On a closer look at my old injector the thread goes past this hole. What was happening was the fuel under pressure was passing up the thread and out this hole. I also found a n...

Re: what's this?
Both the one I pulled and the replacement have this hole, so I'm guessing it should be there. I was wondering if these injectors are easy enough to dismantle as I've the old one still. Or just to contact ade and try and get a replacement sent.

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
Just a quick update on this post. The limp mode was mainly due to a disconnected vacuum hose at the juction with the vac box. I also had the swirl actuator replaced as the rod was broken and finally i replaced the intake and egr ev's. all done for under £40 so very pleased.

Re: 406 2.2hdi Limp home mode and turbo probs
Thanks Doggy, Reassuring to know I have now got the correct de-fap file installed. many thanks for your help... The running of the car seems a lot better although it is still dropping into limp mode. on long bursts of boost. Just a thought but could this suspect intake electro value have messed up t...

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
Well the lumpyness has gone away for now. Back in December while trying to refit the.engine cover I lent on the fuel filter cap snapping one of the fuel line connectors. A trip to the scrappy was urgently needed as I required the car the next day. 3:30 on a Sunday is not the best time to break somet...

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
Hi Eric I'll take you up on that offer if you don't mind. it'll be good experience for me. Yes it was misbehaving at the time. What sort of quantities should be present via the leak off test. Lots or little, I ran the test for 2minutes. I can give better measurements by redoing the test and putting ...

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
Yeah I took it for a drive first to get it warm, then conducted the leak off test. I will try it again tomorrow whilst cold to compare. This is it, the problem only started 1 week after the remap. Not noticed anything prior. I've not got the software for replacing the original map file, although dog...

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
Ok, sounds bad... But what do you suppose is my next step. Plugs, wiring, injectors, ecu? Sorry for my ignorance!

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
Well I conducted my leak-off test, I'm not sure what I was expecting but all four had very similar quantities of desiel with maybe slightly more in bottle 1. What does this suggest?

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
I will try the leak-off test this weekend. I took it for a spin and plugged pp2000 back in and no injector codes. If it's not the injector, egr or egr sv's what else could it be. N.b. It just all of a sudden started to happen, no deterioration....

Re: pp2000 EGR lumpy idle
2nd. pic: The majority are intermittent faults and indicative of someone disconnecting lots of bits, (perhaps to try to localise a fault). That someone would be me. I suspected that maybe an injector was at fault. i've noticed that i can remove power from injector 4 (closest to oil filler cap) and ...

Re: 406 2.2hdi Limp home mode and turbo probs
Checks out autobits google search will find them. Paid under a ton for it. Very helpful. Saved a packet and I got £30 from the scrap man for the old one.
