Re: Subtle boot spoiler for £85.00

You know, I was hoping this forum would be worth re-visiting, but unless I become an old man driving a standard-looking mass-produced rep mobile, I don't feel I will be welcome here...and not to start a fight, but you should watch your language Welton, I deal with wankers all day at work and I don't...

Re: Engine management light and limp-home mode

The chipping is something I've always wanted to do, but in this case I was told the car was running lean due to the induction kit, so it was chipped to compromise. I never got limp-home and rarely saw the diagnostic light after chipping, but Pug Parts did diagnose a faulty throttle positioning senso...

Re: Subtle boot spoiler for £85.00

It's ok not to like it, no need to give us downforce 101 mate! I feel that if you're gonna spend money on a car there is little point doing something no-one will notice (or care about). I like to look back at my car and know that there is nothing else like it. It must work: I've had people in the st...

Engine management light and limp-home mode

Hi, I own an X-reg 2.2 Sri petrol. Sometimes the engine management light stays on after starting the engine and the car goes into limp-home mode. Stopping and re-starting the engine nearly always fixes this, although the light stays on. I recently had the engine chipped and the air sensor replaced a...

Re: Piccs finally - including stickers

What a nice colour! It's rare to see a mk2 in red, especially that shade. Red is not usually a colour that the 406 can pull off, but yours does it nicely. If there is ONE mod that you must make to a mark 2, it is to lower it. If there are two mods, the second is to take the back lights out, cover th...

Re: 2,0 turbo or 2,2, what´s it gonna be....?

2.0 turbo (150bhp, 173lb/ft) http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q255/nopoet406/endeavour_spoiler.jpg This car is a huge visual step up from the 405 (which is still a great car). Also reliability and build quality are better. The advantages of this car are that it's cheap to buy and it is very comfor...

Re: Playing with a scooby :)

After my old 2.0 turbo had been modded to 180bhp it could practically keep up with some Imprezas on the motorway at high speed, hardly anything in it, but there are a few differences. The Scooby is designed to get off the mark a lot quicker and when both cars are in their stride the Impreza loses th...

If I was rich, a Honda NSX. If I was wealthy, an Accord Type-R or Integra Type-R. If I was on the same money as I am now, a Honda Prelude 2.2i VTEC 4WS in black with a boot spoiler.

Thanks mate, I recall hearing this before when I was modding my black 406. Those were the days.

I love the boot on my new car. Can't believe how much more room there is. The parcel shelf in my d8 hangs right down, but in my d9 it is neat and tidy. I cannae wait to get my sound system in.

It's a kenwood 12", 1000w sub with amp. Much more space in the D9's boot so it should fit a treat. Last time my interior speakers were Focal Access. They were amazing, especially the 6x9s, but they're too expensive for me this time round. I've spent a fortune on other mods today. This has been the m...

Thanks, I've missed you, man! Can you give me some more advice? I'm looking to upgrade my sound system (standard 6 speaker) for a mark 2, or D9 if you'd rather, and I've found a beautiful subwoofer/amp combo, but I am looking for speakers that will fit my car. I'm hoping to fit 2 or 3 way woofers in...

So, bending two coat hangers not going to be enough...dammit. Where can I get Phillips keys from? Would a car spares shop do it?
