It will only splutter on brake.cleaner but won't continue to.run

It's had no work done to it except oil changes etc. Only has 80,000 on clock. It won't try to fire even if I pump primer.

97 peugeot 406 2.1 td non start
hey guys im struggling to sort this car out. its a 97 pug 406 2.1 td which wont start. cranks over perfect but wont fire. it will fire on easy start (i know its a bad thing to do) but wont continue to run so id say the engine itself is ok. immobiliser ? iv changed the transponder around the ignition...
