ok, well the tank isnt empty.... will refill it again to be on the safe side! Thats about the only thing the scanner cant do is reset the counter for it though.

does anyone know a way of forcing the bsi to recognise the tanks filled and reset the counter?

you cant, only way to do it is to have a petrol set of clocks sorry

just plugged a snap on scanner up to my 406 and got the following fault codes...

p1435 - diesel additive system
p1442 - additive quantity
p1446 - additive quantity

Any ideas what these refer to?

cant you just take the pins out of the plug? not done it on a 406 but have done this on a 309 yep thats how i made up replacement multiplugs out of 2 sets i got from the scrap yard as the plugs i got didnt have enough contacts in them to work in my car. i couldnt do this and use the existing wiring...
