Re: Will a HDI 136 ECU work in a HDI 110? - Update - 'No'

Update - KWP2000 would not work with my 2.2 HDi ECU, it would read the versions but not the map or reprogramme the map. I bought a (cheaper) Galletto 1260 and hey presto, no problems, and it also worked on my Vista laptop instead of having to borrow an XP laptop. It read the hardware and software ve...

Re: Key Fob (another question)

RE SYNC: 1. Turn the Ignition switch ON. 2. Press the large Plip key button (Primary Plip) 3. Within 10 seconds press the large Plip key button (Secondary Plip) 4. If there is one remote, press the Primary plip button twice. 5. Turn ignition OFF. 6. Test Plip’s for correct operation. Autodata agree...

I'm not sure about the d8, I can check on Autodata when I get home but my guess would be it'll say 'programme key using diagnostic equipment'. Perhaps speak to someone nicely with PP2000.

Re: Service Interval Display

I believe the service reset instructions are in Autodata, which I have a copy of, so let me know if it works or not and I can have a look if it doesn't.

Re: Key Fob (another question)

I think I understand what you're saying: You're going to keep the non-plip, original key with the transponder in to start the car in the ignition, and use just the key body (with no blade or transponder) to blip the car's remote central locking? In which case you will need to reprogramme the key fob...

Re: Will a HDI 136 ECU work in a HDI 110?

Update: KWP2000+ arrived. Installed on XP laptop yesterday. Plugged into OBD2 port today. I can get as far as reading the hardward and software versions, but the moment I go to read the ECU file, I get an 'internal hardware error'. I'm assuming this relates to the KWP2000+ box itself rather than the...

Re: Key Fob (another question)

If I understand correctly, you can't just resync a new key to your car. You'll need diagnostic equipment (pp2000) to do the reprogramming. I haven't successfully done it yet myself, although I plan to very shortly all being well. Just want to get my ECU fixed first but happy to let you know if I do ...

Re: imobiliser pros

I did sign up and got the pin for my old Rapier and when i tried to get the pin for my exec (about a year later) some foreign twat kept giving me abuse in broken English about not contributing to the website although i had posted a few posts,i told him to shove it where the sun don't shine and not ...

Re: imobiliser pros

you will also need the 4 digit pin immobiliser code to do it,if your lucky it'll be in the handbook pack on what looks like a credit card if not you'll have to pay to get it from the main dealer or i found a site on the net that gave it to me for a fiver(can't remember where),i just looked up "pin ...

If you have the VIN, sign up to http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk & look for a post entitled Peugeot VIN to PIN, (or something like that), post the VIN, you'll get the PIN foc within 24 hours.
Thanks for the heads up for this - it took them 7 minutes! :cheesy:

Re: Will a HDI 136 ECU work in a HDI 110?

Hi all, Just to update you guys who have helped/are helping me out: Doggy has sent me a couple of map files to try, one standard, one not. My KWP2000 has been posted so should be with me tomorrow with any luck. Posted on the digital-kaos forum to get my PIN for the new ECU. If anybody else has alter...

Re: Will a HDI 136 ECU work in a HDI 110?

Key won't resync, tried that already using sync methods from here and Autodata. Autodata advises programming is done 'via diagnostic equipment' but not sure if an already-coded key can be recoded - Renault's certainly can't. Plus although I have this car's keycard, I'd need the code from the car the...

Re: Will a HDI 136 ECU work in a HDI 110?

Thank Doggy, I've PM'd my email. Thanks also for the offer of PP2000, I may take you up on it. I'm going to see if I can sort this ECU first though. You may be able to give me a clue as to whether my keys could be reprogrammed to the new ECU to get remote central locking back again in due course. Ce...

Will a HDI 136 ECU work in a HDI 110? - Update - 'No'

Hi all, I've finally got round to swapping my ECU/BSI/Transponder & Chip to cure my engine immobiliser non-start problems (thought it was fixed - turned out it wasn't). I fitted a ECU/BSI/Transponder that I was incorrectly informed was out a HDI 110, and after a HPi it turns out it was a 406 HDi 136...
