Hi Paul If it's anything like a 90hdi you should be able to replace the rocker without taking the head off just make sure you get the timing locked off

Hi Ben I would take the rocker cover off and have a look,you might get away with one or two rockers being broke , a lso check that the camshaft pulley hasn't sheared the wood ruff key .

No it's the ally one off a 2tr hdi the last time i did one it took nearly a week to get my hands clean,i suppose I'll have go to the local poundshop for some marigolds

I've recently acquired an inlet manifold and was wondering if there are any tricks or dodges for cleaning them out or is it just a case of paint brush and plenty of gunk

BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN. The parts that i ended up replacing were cam belt pulley 1 rocker alternator belt tensioner ,starter motor ,camshaft sensor and a £240 bill for a mobile mechanic to do some rewiring.But at least i know how to do a head gasket which at 60year old i didn't think i would have to...

I'm not sure if i can do a BSI reset without my proper key so i've sent the key off to be repaired .As soon as i get it back i.ll try the resetCHEERS

yep tried that.I've noticed on the display panel it's showing ECONOMY MODE would that have anything to do with it.As a byword i really appreciate all the assistance the lads on this site are giving me

Hi Lads I've tried easy start but as soon as i let go of the ignition key it just stops .There's fuel at the filter and have bled the injectors one at a time .My mate has a obd 11machine and the only fault that comes up is TPA,Can anyone recommend anybody near Gateshead with the full diagnostics kit...
