Re: Stick, upgrade, or complete change

Exactly my issue! The money available (when it comes and assuming swmbo doesn't have other ideas) is likely in the 3k range, decidedly in the 'other options' territory. I am kind of settled on a change in vehicle as it probably makes the most sense now I have totted up my desires, That said i am not...

Re: Stick, upgrade, or complete change

You have hit the nail on the head.. I know the car and do trust it. That said its on 188k it has to be due a clutch soon(ish) and while its been looked after there are potentially some parts on there well past best. That could of course be the same with a new(er) car, so I could spend my money on so...

Re: Stick, upgrade, or complete change

Lol I think I agree.. Paint wise there are a good few stone chips etc that I could probably touch up fine but three good sized areas (bumper corners) I would need done to a higher standard and being a silver car probably not for me to do! I think if I did 'stick' I would want as many toys as I could...

Re: Stick, upgrade, or complete change

Cheers guys.. I like both responses (hence my indecision!) The 2.2 Exec sounds like a wise move.. but equally sticking with what I know and improving would be nice.. I started making a list of things I would do and likely osts to see where I ended up.. but its getting mighty long.. Nicer interior, f...

Re: Positive crankcase pressure?

No thoughts?
Anyone care to pop their own oil filler cap off and let me know what the see/feel?

Hopefully lined up a couple more cars to view over the weekend and dont want to discount things for the wrong reasons!

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Running without MAF

Hey, Sorry but as yet no experiance of the 406 especially in HDi flavor, (still searching for one!) However I have a faulty MAF in my daily mazda 323, so some of this info may transfer?? My Mazda will run with it off but overfuels horrible below about 4000rpm (petrol non turbo) and this brings with ...

Hi all, As promised in my hello post here is the first of what is sure to be lots of questions! Secondly if this is a repost please forgive me, the laptop had a 'moment' when I clicked send originally and no idea if it went or not, either way I am sure the mods will put it right and dish out slapped...

Hi all

Hi all just a quick introduction, I am Joe! I live in Dorset and after a long and checkered car history (Land rovers and Volvo's mostly) 'We' (I am no longer a young free single man!) are looking for a new estate car, so here I am researching, and arming myself for the hunt for a 406 estate, probabl...
