875 miles on 75ltrs of diesel. Is that good?
Hi all I have a peugeot 406 hdi 110 estate. Its done 108k and is serviced and generally well looked after. I wanted a car that was good on fuel and with a big boot but also had to be comfy for long journeys. Now iam just wondering if 875 miles to a tank is good. That was travelling with a very light...

Re: Is £180 for recon rear calipers and new discs a good pri
Hi thanks for the reply. I may as well just fit recon ones. Where did you get your brake shoes from? I heard on another thread that they can be expensive. I may as well replace the lot seeing as though new discs will be put on. Also i reckon one of the disks is warped from the siezed caliper. Thanks...

Is £180 for recon rear calipers and new discs a good price?
Iam pricing up some bits for the pug. The rear brake calipers have siezed and doing my head in so i went to price some up. A local motor factor can do 2 recon calipers, with discs for £280 then once i get my old ones back to them i get £100 back. That price is including vat. I didn't think that was ...

Re: clicking sound from rear quarter..406
I have found the culprit. I took that cubby panel out and found a relay box for the tow bar electrics. Can't see why it is clicking and don't want to disturb it if it messes up the wiring to the car.
Its a nimbus towing & leisure NP107 Voltage Triggered twin Relay.

Re: clicking sound from rear quarter..406
Thanks for the replies chaps. No mudflap flapping in the wind iam afraid as it doesn't have them fitted. It might not be a relay but it just sounds like one, its "tick" then a second later another "click" but a different tone as if its a relay lol. It does have a tow bar fitted but i cant see why th...

Re: High level brake light not working
I fixed mine the other day mate. Open the boot and you will see rubber cover on the top right hand side. pull it away from the boot lid and you will see a broken wire. If its the earth wire which is the (yellow and green) wire then all you have to do is take off the spoiler with the brake light on (...

Re: clicking sound from rear quarter..406
Nope its when the car is off. if i went to it even now it would be there clicking away. It sounds like a relay click. It's very odd. If i open the boot (its an estate) and open the storage panel i can hear it very clearly but i just dont know what it could be. not really sure if it's a problem but i...

I'am not sure if this is a problem as such but, when the engine is off i can hear a clicking sound as if a relay is clicking on and off on the rear o/s of the car. I've had a really good look but for the life of me can't seem to find where it is comin...

Re: radiator fan
Hi mate what model is it. You can test it by in plugging the temp sensor switch which is located on the right hand side of the head below the intake pipe. Once unplugged turn the ignition on and the fan should kick in full speed.
