Re: Top engine mount

Hi
Found the beasty. (I think)
How many mounts are there anyway? Would anybody have a parts list or a service illustration? There seem to be at least 8 variants. XU10J2TE
Thanks

Top engine mount

I get a noise when taking up drive and have some movement on the top engine mount torque link on more family's trusty 1998 2lt petrol estate (280000 miles and still going strong) and all the straps on eBay are different - square rather than the round bar with a fork end and with the bushes are press...

Re: Leaking Rad

Thanks for imfo. Any idea which pipe? On closer inspection the hose is leaking from the junction betwee pipe and rad. Haynes shows an o ring. I am going to try to replace that first before taking a hacksaw to new pipe.

Does anyone know just where I can get a bottom rad hose for my 98 2.0 turbo. Leaking from spring clip joint. No longer stocked by the main agent, none at my local scrappies. Any help very gratefully accepted

Re: Non flashing flashers

Took the switch apart. Small spring broken on the return assembly. Replaced with a spring out of a retractable pen which was the same size, length and tension. Lots of dried grease, soaked with contact cleaner. I found a 1/2 frank coin stuck to the lower cowl. Quids in!

Thanks

Re: Tailgate won't latch

Taken the latch off of the car and the actuator rod had worn the connection hole on the latch into a slot . Compared it to another lock from the scrappys and that sorted it. I busted the plastic dodah which locks the rod into the door handle - Another trip coming on.
Thanks for the imfo

Tailgate won't latch

Another niggle. D8 Estate. The tailgate will not latch, all other locks work on phip and key. Using a bungee to keep the thing closed. I have tried all the suggestions I have found on the site but no joy. Solenoid operates, Key turns as normal. Outside handle moves as usual. Then brainwave put a pen...
