That is painful. 5 of their badges would be nearly equal to the price I paid for the whole car :)

Re: rear boot/lock badge?

Best alternative, if ebay is drawing a blank, is colour code the existing badge to your car, and do what Tatsfield did over on the coupe club, and stick a lion badge over the top of it - available off the bay - if you liked, you could if you so like use the latest pug lion I will consider remaking ...

rear boot/lock badge?

My boot lion badge first became chipped and flaked off and now it has fallen off altogether. I know this is a common problem as I have seen loads of 406's with the same issue. I don't seem to be able to find a replacement, even my ebay searching has drawn a blank. I noticed someone on here has them ...

Thanks, with the blue connector block ? (just to be sure ;))

Oh, and if you ever fancy selling your alpine amp (if it is the one I am thinking of) then I will buy it off you.

Re: Hello, Im new :( brand new. 1.9TD

cheers... its the black box with the black connector block yeah?

I think mine has a white/cream box where your black one is, I am not 100% but I remember a whitish coloured box about that size when I was snooping around under there the other day.

Thanks again :)

That would be great thanks. If you can get a picture of where it is that would be even better :) (rather than just a spare one on a workbench for example)

Re: Hello, Im new :( brand new. 1.9TD

I finally had a chance to have the clocks out today... they were fine. Looked nothing like any of the pictures I had seen of the faulty ones. I re-soldiered any joint that looked a bit suspect (but they did all look pretty good)... still the same. If anything the speedo seems to be working less ofte...

Re: Hello, Im new :( brand new. 1.9TD

Welcome mate and congrats on your purchase. I've got the same intermittant speedo fault which I will fix eventually, just keep in mind 3rd at 2000 rpm is 30, 4th at 2000 rpm is 40 when you go through the speed cameras. Whipping the clocks out is quick and easy as has already been said and an opport...

Re: Hello, Im new :( brand new. 1.9TD

Thanks for the replies. I have been looking into all the possible causes, at some point the sender/strainer will need to come out anyway as the plan is to run it on veg oil, I am so glad I got the 1.9td as the HDI are a nightmare for running off veg oil (in fact I am not sure if it is even possible)...

Hello, Im new :( brand new. 1.9TD

Namely the speedo and fuel gauge work whenever and however they please. I have been doing my research but before I get...
