Re: For Sale - 2.2 Hdi Exec Estate - 114k, long MOT - Essex
Apologies folks, I put down 2003 and the car was actually registered 10/09/2002, now corrected. Mileage is 114,850 as of today. Re: Tightening Nuts To Torque
Not exactly hard to check the calibration of a torque wrench though - just need a weight, a vice bolted to a workbench, some string and a calculator. A cheap wrench is very unlikely to be able to be calibrated, instead you'll have to apply a correction factor. Even high end torque wrenches will be o...

Re: Tightening Nuts To Torque
To try and explain the differences, there are pretty standard torque guidelines for a given bolt diameter. This then varies significantly on application, tensile rating of bolt/nut, pitch of thread etc. One source you use might have standard ratings for that particular nut/bolt setup, the other may ...

Re: Tightening Nuts To Torque
The torque rating could be listed for three reasons: 1. So you don't under tighten - the nut could work loose or allow increased movement, causing increased wear and potentially fractured bolts. 2. So you don't over tighten - if you do is risks either snapping the bolt or stretching the threads, cou...

Re: Heated memory seats into just electric seated car
Might be easier to swap the seat covers over.
Can't remember how they are fixed from when took the drivers seat out, but every other Peugeot I have had was combination of staples, zips and pull cords with knots in.

Re: Electric Mirrors - Pointing all Over The Place
Pretty sure that fallacy was quashed many years ago. I would not use WD-40 on natural rubber but otherwise used it for 10+ years and those cars are still going strong.
