406 D8 (Mk1) rear "Lexus Style" clusters with LED strip

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been around much, but my D8 has now gone to car heaven. My D9 is running ok and is used as my everyday run-about. OK, so, I have the rear "Lexus style" light clusters if anyone is interested. I have wired in an LED strip which illuminates along with the brake bulb. I'm open ...

I think in the meantime I might get a pair of Firestone TZ300s fitted I just got 2 new Pirelli P6000's 195 65 15 V's for £120 all in fitted at home from etyres. I didn't have to go anywhere. Some bloke just came in a long wheelbase Sprinter, balanced and fitted them. I was quoted a few quid more at...

Re: Problems in the snow :(

The insurance company (Aviva, used to be Norwich Union) called today and I explained what happened. They were quite understanding about it. They also said that I do not have to pay any excess if there is no damage to my vehicle. They said they would have to contact the vehicle owner in writing to ar...

Re: Problems in the snow :(

Unfortunately I didn't take any pics. As it was dark my phone camera is useless. I think she is trying it on as the car did have some previous marks on the door. She also refused to give her phone number, so I cannot even contact her.

With this bad spell of weather, be EXTRA, EXTRA careful everyone!

Problems in the snow :(

Hello, this post is just for some advice really.. It started snowing quite heavy and I thought I would get some essentials from Sainsburys before the weather got any worse. On the way back, the car in front braked suddenly and then I did too. As I did this, my D9 slid towards the left and went up ag...

I know they serve beer in that Taybarns place, but not sure about the selection. The nearest Pub is at location A:

Re: planned meets for 2010

Someone needs to find somewhere centralish, with a suitable carpark, a decent pub (serving food+stella) and a cheap hotel like a Travelodge (£20/night jobbie)... How about Coventry? There is a large-ish car park behind the Showcase Cinema with a Premier Inn and a Taybarns (all you can eat for under...

Re: what cd pleyer is compatible with 406 stalk?

I've got a Pioneer Deh-p8600mp. I'm using an Autoleads PC99-X24 stalk adapter on my D9. Dependong on your headunit (Sony, Pioneer, etc..) you will need a patch lead to connect to the stalk adaptor. I was lucky that my Pioneer supported this.

Re: Pioneer Head Unit :(

I had to take it out for further investigation as to what was going on with it. I took it out and then connected it inside the house with one of those jump starter things. I pressed the eject button and it worked! I think the motorized mechanism may have been stuck or something. I put 2 dabs...

Pioneer Head Unit :(

My Pioneer DEH-P8600MP is doing something strange. It all operates as it should, except when I press eject, it beeps, but nothing happens. The face is supposed to move down and the CD is meant o eject itself. Also, in normal operation, when I turn off the ignition and wait a moment, the unit beeps a...

Re: Noisey engine on HDI 110

Thanks guys, you were spot on! I managed to get a replacement pulley from GSF for around £45 and just finished changing it. What a headache.. Now all I have to do is fix that hole in the flexi pipe! :frown:
