thank you for ur replys, I just wanted to give u some more info on wot, and therefore wot I haven't done... I tested the voltage across the temp sender plug (green on the side of the thermostat housing) this came out reading 5 volts? could anyone confirm this as if it should be 12v there ly the prob...

hi rustinho, have you resolved your problem yet as ive just got back off me hols and.......... same car as yours, battery is dead (new a year ago) now ive charged the battery the interior lights aint working, fuel gauge going mad, im going mad, key symbol on dash has appeared and both me and my wife...

hi mate, unplug the coolant temp sensor and inside the plug u will c 2 pins. short these out in the plug end then switch ignition on.... the temp gauge should read max and go st8 into the red. (u may also get a warning on the display but ignore that)... then i would watch for ten mins or so to see i...

wot u think then boys? pin 3 looks like an earth from the pic steve kindly supplied. this maf mod is out there so im willing to give it a go first as obviously earthing out 2 wires aint gona cost owt. if u guys have any other suggestions then im all ears. thanks to u all who replied. max respect :ch...

cheers steve, well the external sensor seems fine ie, if its 20 degrees outside that is wot the car shows on display. do u know the location of that snjffer sensor? and the location of the sunshine sensor? its a 53 plate se model hdi thanks to all :lol: :lol: :lol:

my interior heater just decides to go from killing u with heat and then freezes u to death? wtf? if u stick it up full chat (30 degrees) or to its coolist setting (14 degrees) it stays the same. if u set it to sumink a bit more comfy say 20 degrees it just does wot it fancies? :shock: any ideas guys...
