Yeah I know, its a piss take to be honest but i like the car alot bar the clutch its horrible haha. I just cant understand why people cant look after the cars they got! Like I said though once its done this car will pay me back over and over So not too fussed just wish it wasnt before christmas haha!

haha that just typical im going to attempt to pull the bottom of the steering wheel away and have a look to see if i have that wire sometime this week.

If it were relatively recent, like less than 50K/2yrs, I would spend the money on drink and dirty women. Mine failed at 92 000 but it was 14 years old it looks like u need a new tensioner in ur pic okay i shall get it replaced when i can i have a feeling the belt is going to snap very soon, i got a haynes manual and it looks complicated because theres no pictures for reference on the 1.9 just the 2.1 ...

That looks wrong to me but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will confirm. I don't think the idler leans, only the tensioner, so maybe it's not a problem. How many miles has the car done? Mine failed at about 205,000 miles. Here's the belt layout for the XUD9 (with A/C): http://www.peugeot206cc....

In theory they shouldn't, they only drive the PAS pump, alternator etc. However on the XUD engines they have a habit of flying into the timing belt and causing it to jump some teeth or come off altogether, so best to get it done. It's normally recommended to replace the idler and tensioner whilst y...

except for little drawings which make no sence its safe to say i need a aux belt do they do damage if they snap on you ??

would i be right in thinking the belt i can see in these pictures is the auxiliry belt and not the timing belt as i first thought kind of in the right bottom part of the pic close up its a thin ish belt with straight lines on the underside not teeth its on the driver side of the engine http://i1306....
