Indeed I have a JBL amp perched behind the Clarion CD Changer on the left.
Also looking under the parcel shelf the rear speakers have JBL printed on the magnets.
On the right I have what looks like a sat nav 'thingy' requiring disk? No idea where the visual output would be if it was a sat nav?!

I have played with the settings. Maybe I should just turn up the bass but i didnt want to distort or worse blow the speakers. I would like to add a subwoofer to produce the bass. leave the speakers for mids and highs.

Ive noticed that the Oil Temp gauge does not work. The water temp come up to 90c nicely but the oil doesn't budge.

What should I be checking first please?

Chaps I have a 2002 2.2 HDI Coupe. It has a Clarion Tape deck up front and a CD changer in the boot. None of the speaker grills have a JBL logo on them apart from the ones in the rear shelf? Is this normal? it does go very loud, but doesnt have much bass. Can a Subwoofer be easily added in the boot?...

I am looking to map the car myself - around the 170bhp should be enough.

It doesnt help that it feels like im in a boat! I think some 30mm lowering springs need to be on order..

Oh and my previous car was an Alfa GT 1.9 JTD remapped to 172bhp/300lb (0-60 in 8 secs)

I guess the 406 is some 3 seconds slower 0-60?

I have just picked up a 2002 406 Coupe 2.2 HDI.

So far so good. need a few touch ups but mainly it needs a remap because its sooooo slow!

Is this a quiet forum nowadays?

Any advice on a remap?
