just had a look at the springs and they turn with the struts on both sides does this mean the bearings have gone

thanks for the reply replaced joint on steering column no different,if i turn steering wheel left and then right with the engine not running ie bleed air in system,start the engine all is fine for about 10 mins then goes back to being notchy could this be the pump or rack or anything else all susges...

can anyone help got tight/hard spots on my steering on my 406hdi 2001
