Thank you so much guys, I was trying the nut undernearth the parcel shelf but couldn't budge it, was only one there between the back seat and the speaker so the inner of the speaker that would make it. Re: 1997 D8 what tool to use remove interior skurt
Thanks so much, I also had someone look and got the right tool, one of those 6 pointed star screw drivers. Sorry didn't reply earlier, had not subscribed to the topic, thought it happened automagically. Now how do the rear speakers come out so I can run the new cable and where on earth can I get a 4...

1997 D8 what tool to use remove interior skurt
Hi, this is probably very simple but as I am blind I am having trouble figuring this out. I am running RCA/speaker/Power cables under the trim between carpet and door seals. Not sure what it is called, it's the rounded moulded plastic. It is a tight fit so I am trying to unscrew it a bit but am unsu...

Re: xu1 j4r cam belt change help 1997 406 D8
Hey Jasper, thanks for all your help. We got it back all done with no real problems. Strangely enough though we can now hear the belt noise. Friend said that it is 10ml wider; is this a known problem do you think?

I would expect it to be,...

Re: Just bought 1997 406 ST D8 4D and strange noises
Well dealer wants 2grand Australian to do timing belt, tentioner, water pump, harmonic balancer and to replace the fan setup!!!! Will keep looking on here for info on what the fans are, if the old magnetic type or normal electro fans. One has a damaged blade. So that is part of the shudder when they...

Re: Just bought 1997 406 ST D8 4D and strange noises
Thanks, will do that and we are taking it to Peugeout dealer Monday for an 'A' service and get a report on what needs doing.
The guy said the baring in the fan tends to go on these so that is probably the cause.
Will keep posted on result at any rate.

Re: Just bought 1997 406 ST D8 4D and strange noises
Hi and thank you.
A mate just came up and took me for a drive.
We have determined that the shudder only happens with aircon turned on.
Perhaps the extra power the engine needs with aircon on is not being supplied?
Thanks
