Re: An eventful day today!!!
If you're taking the hub off, remember that these things are really a one time use thing. :frown: You put them on by drifting them in with a suitably sized socket/tube/whatever, against the inner race, so no force goes across the bearing. You take them off with pullers and the force is transferred a...

Re: Pressure differential sensor location
On a 2.2HDi Coupe, it's exactly where Doggy says.
So assuming the saloon is the same, it's on the engine side of the bulkhead, more or less opposite where your passenger's feet would be. Look for a brown 2 pin connector.

Re: Front ARB Bushes - help!!!
Not done this myself, but Servicebox shows a separate nut for these.( ie not captive) It's on a lovely long 115mm bolt too with lots of exposed threads..... You can see the opposite side one in your pic. I would guess the way to do these is to get a long reach socket on the nut while turning ...

Ah yes, you're right....I was still in V6 mode where it does operate the speedo!
I should've remembered that Doggy, after having just done a 6 speed conversion on a Coupe. But I guess you'll have seen that elsewhere!

Re: Mot fail
Speed sensor is driven straight off the diff, so yes!
Speed sensor in the context it was written above I think means the road wheel revolutions, so that the ABS ecu can make it's calculations.

Re: Cant get driveshaft out
Do that bit back up again on the gearbox end. That shouldn't have been released. Put the pry bar between the inner end of the inner cv joint and the engine mount casting

Re: Cant get driveshaft out
Make sure the bolt heads on those two in the mount have been twisted through at least 90°. If you don't do that, they will still 'grab' the bearing in there. The bolts don't need to come out....in fact you can't get them out while the shaft is still in place. You can only back them out enough to twi...

When confronted by one of our fine Constables peering in through the window, you could always say you were wiggling the seat connectors back and forth vigorously because of the stupid air bag light.....

Yes. Get it screwed in and torqued, then hammer over an edge into the slot.

Re: Secure/lock lower ball joint
Here's a shiny new ball joint removal tool in case you haven't seen one..... http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd176/markyspark20/Suspension-Brakes-Exhaust/SDC15535_zps4ddeb915.jpg It fits over the ball joint once the nut is removed and then the nut is put back on to firmly hold the tool in place s...

Re: Secure/lock lower ball joint
I think they're referring to the method where part of the rim of the ball joint, once screwed in all the way, is peened over into a slot on the hub, locking it into place.
