65k is nothing, and quite rare for a 10 year old diesel. Good find. Yes, I bought it from a friend of someone at work. I believe that the car was standing for 18 months which might explain the low mileage. I thought the D9 stereos were VIN coded? They are but this one has lost its coding, probably ...

Yes, I thought I'd done well.

I've now done a decent run. 340 miles yesterday, a mix of motorway and A roads. She didn't miss a beat and averaged 47.1 mpg.

In my old Rover I'd have been lucky to average 24.

The only annoyance is the bleep on the stereo. I must get it re-coded!

Thanks for the welcomes.

I've certainly enjoyed pottering around the village in it today. It's a sound low mileage car (Only 65k so hardly even run in yet).
There's lots of good interesting info. on here by the look of it and I'm sure that I'll enjoy spending time delving back into the archive.

As a new member I thought I should introduce myself. I'm Brian from the coast of Cumbria (although I'm really an East Anglian in exile).
