The connector gets very warm during use, and I don't think the power necessary to produce that heat can come from a USB port. Well, the second attempt with the Galletto was also unsuccessful.
I'll be trying to get a replacement unit asap.

PM returned. The mechanical side of the job is now complete. At least the car wants to go now, up to 3000rpm anyway. I am guessing that installing the modified ECU file won't clear the fault codes and limp mode; is this correct? I will probably invest in a PP2000 anyway since my existing OBD reader ...

Yes, I copied the contents of the cd onto the desktop, and ran the software from there.
There was no file created in the location I specified, even on the one occasion it reached 75%.

I will have another go tonight.
