Pressure regulator it was.... I went to three scrapped 406 in locality until I found one with a bosch fuel pump. Thanks guys.

She is 01 and in the family since new but never was recalled....I am going to swap the regulator tomorrow for one from a berlingo to see will it make any difference.

Thanks Peter ...do u know if the 110 bhp pressure regulator is same as 90bhp....I live way out in the sticks far from a breaker but know where there is a 110bhp parked up. Ta Peter

Car was fine when I checked before midnight lastnight and started first turn of key, at 7.30 this morning immobilizer light was back on and no amount of fiddling with the key and battery will get it out, even when I pull out the key the imobilizer light stays on. Any new ideas ?

Thank you for reply, she is a 2002 90bhp rapier estate with 246k miles, I have just connected up battery again and she started no prob and I went for a 10mile drive ans stopped and started again without any issues. The car is now parked up and I will check in a few hrs if she has put the imobilizer ...

I put a new battery in my 406 and now the imobilizer light is on and will not start, if I disconnect battery and leave for a hr and then reconnect she will go no problem but when I stop after a few hrs the light is on again and no go. He probly got the earlier box first and wrong reverse box second time as cables were all nipped off and got third time lucky with right box, think she has 240000 or so miles up anf forms part of a local peugeot taxi small buiseness. Thanks boys.
