Cheers Doggy.
Going to get it recovered today as been at my girlfriends all week with a chest infection.
Get it back to mine where I have all the tools and I can have a look and see If I can get on the actual output terminal and test from there.

Re: V6 Saloon Alternator
Ive tested at the battery with the car running at idle 12.5v and with the revs elevated and still 12.5v.
I'm assuming the alternators are instant charge unlike most motorcycles that don't charge until 4-5500 rpm.
Oh sounds like fun!

Re: V6 Saloon Alternator
Cheers Mate,
Oh that sounds like fun, not!
What you mean by don't forget the wiring?
Did change a alternator on a bike recently and it turned out to be the wiring between the alternator and the reg/rec.

My alternator has gone south on my D8 V6 saloon, how easy is it to change?

Re: v6 running wrong
also check to see if PP2000 is recognising the throttle opening or you can even take off the connecting pipe between the air box and the actual throttle, turn on the ignition and turn the throttle sensor to see if the throttle is opening and shutting according to how you onset it. That's an ES9J4S-...

Re: v6 running wrong
tried the airmass flow sensor, nothing.
whats the one at the back just below the plastic inlet manifold, looks like a 2 pin plug?
I knocked it while I was looking around engine bay and car got really lumpy(cam shaft type noise) and cut out, unplugged that and plugged it back in and car revs up fine
