Re: Hydrolock!
Hi, thanks for the advice, as it happened I was very lucky and no water got into the engine, I replaced the air filter, checked for water in the trunking (there was none) and it started normally. A close shave by all accounts! The car is now up for sale on ebay, I've done a few hundred miles since t...

Hydrolock!
Hi guys, managed to hydrolock my 1.9td 406 this morning, I turned the engine off quickly so am hopeful that the internal damage will be minimal, looks like the air filter bore the brunt of it, but before I try and start it again I think I should remove either the glow plugs or injectors and spin the...

Re: wiring a drivers electric seat into an LX
Thanks, you might regret that offer soon! but in the meantime, how do you make the solder stick to the terminal? I'm applying heat to tinned wire and it isn't having any of it!

wiring a drivers electric seat into an LX
Guys, I'm stuck and need some help please. I've got 3/4 of the way through fitting the leather interior from a 1998 executive into my 1998 LX and hit a wall. The passenger seat was a doddle, found the correct plug for +ve and -ve almost straight away and it works fine. I thought I would have similar...

The majority of the parts I took off the car before it was scrapped are now on ebay, here's a link to the interior, from there you can see all the other items, they are all starting cheap:

Re: Breaking D8 2.0 HDI executive estate in silver
The spare wheel and toolkit are on ebay, but I'm nowhere near London or Essex unfortunately. The bottom rad hose got butchered when I took the rad out, Gray, have sent you a PM ref the seats/mirrors ECU.

Re: Breaking D8 2.0 HDI executive estate in silver

The rear view mirror wasn't an auto dimming type, but it does have the sensors that fit on the windscreen, I didn't have a a chance to get much out of the engine, sorry about that doggy. I do have the E...

Re: Breaking D8 2.0 HDI executive estate in silver
I think it is a tape / radio with CD changer, but the CD changer doesn't work according to last owner. I'll have a go at getting the rear view mirror off without breaking it. I have the ECU for the elec mirrors from under the drivers seat.
