Wading through old posts found this one, sorry for the late reaction.
I disabled my air doser simply by unplugging the vacuum tube and driving a small screw in it (to prevent it from leaking and losing vacuum by sucking air).
That works and has never resulted in limp mode for me.

Re: HELP! Key and barrel stolen!
My 1.8L (Ew7J4) petrol 406 had the key and ignition key barrel pinched. Only the the key and ignition key barrels were pinched? You mean just the metal? In that case you might want to replace just those. The electronic coding does not depend on the shape of the metal parts. Do you still have a spar...

Re: Potential Key Disaster!
I think a skilled locksmith can in fact create a "good" key from a worn. The locksmith will not simply copy the worn key, but they will setup their milling machine to reproduce the original (new) key. As https://www.galmierlocksmiths.com.au/blog/worn-car-key-and-ignition says: "So by now, you hopefu...

Re: Potential Key Disaster!
You don't have a spare key? I have in total three keys. Two have blades that work excellent, on all doors. One will only open one door and only lock the other. I guess it is then the key blade that has worn. Make sure that it is very clean and has no dirt or debris on it. If that is the case, it is ...

Re: Peugeot 406 Coupe EV conversion
Does anyone know what is that sensor P/N? I cant seem to find it under "3.0 Oil level sensor". I found part no. 1131F3 on my "DocBackup" disc: Seems difficult to find a source of this part... It is listed here and there, e.g. here but not easy to find a webshop simply selling the part. Will let you...

Re: Air bag fault / warning
Hi Paul, As you say, my first thought is also that the Airbag ECU is not getting any power. That would explain why PP2000 cannot connect to it, and why there is a permanent communication failure. Apparently the replacement ECU is also not getting any power. Did you have the replacement ECU tested be...

Re: Alternator code
Just had a look into my "DocBackup" discs; it gives three possibilities: - 5705AA - 150 AMP RL - until RPO no.09519 - 5705AR - 150 AMP - until RPO no.09519 - 5705AS - 150 AMP-K6-RL - since RPO no.09520 By the way: same picture is found here: http://www.catcar.info/peugeot/?lang=en&l=c3Q9PTgwfHxzdHM9...

Oh my bad for not clearing that up! I'm really sorry for maybe not being able to explain everything well since English is not my native language as well as I have absolutely no idea how any of this works 😂 Don't worry, your english is perfect! I think that, in the Peugeot keys, the transponder ID m...

Re: Car key
Copying the keys was no issue at all What was no issue? The copying of the key blade (metal)? Was the locksmith also able to register the transponder with your car? The transponder can be registered as new key using the PP2000 software with the Lexia cable (google for it). Not sure if your transpon...

Re: Peugeot 406 Coupe EV conversion
Wow! Good job! :cheesy: I can understand the increase of power from 110 km/h to 130 km/h, but going to 149 kW for 150 km/h seems too much. My 110 HDI is 110 HP (duh) so 80 kW, and it can easily do 150 km/h Instead of fighting the heat using large fans, maybe it is better to prevent the heat buildup ...

Good work! Just disabled my adblocker for this site; it deserves the kudo's. Nice to see the https is working; also the forwarding from http to https works fine :) TLS1.3 support, good! Do you have the scripting in place to automatically re-new the Le'ts Encrypt certificate every 3 months? It took m...

Congrats! Well done! Good work
I guess the 1/4 mile performance is "slightly" better compared to the original fossil-fuel engine?

Re: Peugeot 406 Coupe EV conversion
Most of the electronics are in fact running on 5 Volt, fed by a voltage converter 12 -> 5 Volt. The converter needs least around 6 Volt and can handle at least up to 20 Volts. E.g. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Components/LM7805.pdf&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjN9pr4g4nrAhUNyq...

That's a new one, barely run in! My 110 HDI is at 400 k miles and still pushing the family in the back of the seats when floored
