I understand the need to lower the 406 but isn't there a need to get stronger/stiffer springs ??? any out there ??

back in the old days of mk1/2 escorts it was the eg: 25mm lower but also 145lb springs ??

I have had my 2nd 406 9 yrs now and apart from a strut brace it is standard , and apart from the sills which are starting to need sorting it going better than ever at 175k 2001 110 hdi , goes like as it has 130+ bhp, nice torque from 1500 rpm My Question is how much difference in insurance would it ...

Just a thought like back the old days!
Is there a way of tapping into the wiring to fit a switch in circuit to turn on an intermitent wipe ???

Hi all, took sensor off, cleaned it, and when switched to auto there no orange light indication so need to check if sensor getting power when switched on to see if its the sensor or the stalk Am I right in thinking if the sensor is u/s the wipers go into default setting ? took off the top cowl on the steering wheel and got a valeo part no. 61557024
looks like a combined indicator/wiper thingy
any ideas ??

not sure which type of stalk it is ?
do not think it is comm2000
mine has no sat- nav , rain sensor via stalk, button on end for display function
my car was made near the changeover from 109 bhp to 107 bhp ,I think its 107 ??
can you tell without dismantling ??

auto wipers ?

Any ideas guys

when I switch to auto it either wipes on single speed or as most of the time does not work at all, its just on auto setting the rest works ok ?
do you think it is the stalk or the sensor ? has anybody had same issues ??

My car is a 2001 110 hdi

Just got the car through its Mot, and got oil changed and oil/air/fuel filters changed and the initial pickup with the car seems improved.
recon the air filter must have must have been really clogged

RESULT:

Put the car in for its MOT today and cannot believe it the sills passed and it only needed the wheel bearing which I knew about :o :wink:
