Re: Why dont brake discs bolt to the hub?

Bleeding the rear drums

Guys,

I am getting a new BMC as mine has HUGE travel, and sinks when you hold your foot on it. I have bled the brakes 2 or 3 times already but I can't find the bleed nipple on the passenger rear drum. Am I being thick or is there not one on there?

Thanks

Re: Embedding youtube videos?

It is possible for it to be done but requires a bit of admin work from the guys on here. They would then create a [ youtube ] [ /youtube] tag to use

My rad has 2 spring clips that you press and then move the rad, can't remember off the top of my head if they are on the top or on the sides at the top, I need a new rad so will find out if they come with them

Re: Rounded Glow Plug

it's the 1.9 TD. I am refering to 4 as the battery side. I did have a 12mm deep socket on there but as I went to undo it because it was so tight it just rounded to almost a perfect circle. Will check the voltages etc as soon as I can get a multi meter, although changing number 3 made it start rather...

Rounded Glow Plug

OK so the Love Pug has started being a right pig to start in the mornings. In winter it was taking about 5 pre-heats to get it going, now it's warmed up it was starting OK until Saturday where it was a pig to start. So thought I'd do the glow plugs, got the 3rd one done relatively easy after removin...

I am getting over 50mpg out of mine that is going from London to Leamington Spa every day (90 miles) up the M1 and the odd bit of running around at the weekend. I have watched it come up about 5mpg since the winter

Re: 406 1.9 decat pipe

Hello and welcome. I have had mine de-catted and it cost me about £60 for someone to chop out the cat and weld in a piece of pipe. Mine had rotted at the front of the cat and was struggling finding a replacement

Re: remote controls

Your JVC head unit needs to support the remote feature and then you get an adapter for it. They aren't cheap though, I know when I got mine the alpine to adapter bit was about 3 quid, the adapter to steering stalk was about 35
