If you mean the digi display for Q.3 then it's sounds like a bit of screen burn or a loose/dry joint on the board.

Yep i get that and a hum/whir which i have managed to track down to the sunroof motor - just sits there making a faint noise and only stops when i press the open/close button

That light defo means pads so i'm guessing a connector has come loose or as was stated one of the wires is earthing out and touching somewhere it shouldn't
