Re: upgrading standard speakers to components....

That depends on the make-up of the tweeters. I fitted the tweeters from a JBL equipped coupe into mine, but as they were designed to run with the JBL amplifier, my car was putting too much bass through them & they broke. The standard tweeters have a resistor fitted to them that stops them receiving ...

Re: Who's Still About & What's Going On?

Plenty of people still around then - just not all that many that actually still own a 406 (or even a Peugeot in most cases).

Might be able to make it then.

Latest communicatons we've had about our house is that the projected handover is at the end of June, so might be in there by 12th July.

Re: Who's Still About & What's Going On?

Not sure to be honest Eric. Where Sunday is now pretty much my only day off work it ends up being either a day of sorting rooms out ready for the move or my chill out day with Jack.
What weekend is it?

Re: Who's Still About & What's Going On?

Is agency work busy now that employers want the CPC card? I'm pretty much guaranteed work every Saturday now at the place that I usually go to (I don't think any of their full-time staff work Saturdays), but being a manager at my regular job I see the other side of it the rest of the week & to be h...

Re: Who's Still About & What's Going On?

Busy, busy, busy mostly. Regularly working 6 days a week now & when I'm not working I'm having to do all the domestic chores as both myself & the wife have had to take 2nd jobs to try to help pay for the new house (if we ever move into it). Been driving on agency most weekends delivering crisps & bo...

Re: A new project that definitely isn't beige

David Dickinson, nice. "Cuprinol for Men", as one of the Radio 4 comedy shows once said :cheesy: In other news, she needed a new exhaust and the handbrake adjusting. And just as I turned into the MOT centre, "BONG" antipollution fault  What on earth causes an anti-pollution fault on a V6?...

Who's Still About & What's Going On?

Hello all Received a message in my email through here from somebody asking about trims, so thought I'd look in & see what's been going on. Are the regulars still floating around? My last post was when I was trying to clear the shed out ready for our impending (but constantly delayed) house move. End...

Re: Dash trim

The grey trim from the late model S & SE models should be a match for that.

I've got the front trim from an SRi (blue wood) in the shed still if you're interested.

Nice to hear from you again Stu. Don't be a stranger. You may have noticed we now have the Volvo corner, a few other Peugeots, the occasional Ford owner, so no reason you can't join in. 8) Thanks Eric. Don't really visit any forums at all anymore as things have been really busy over past couple of ...

Re: Black Lower Dash, Blue SRi Dash Trims & Steel Wheel Bolt

Ah, thanks. Nice to know somebody missed me, although I'd hardly call myself a detailer. Been checking out a few over past few months & they go into sanding the paint to get rid of swirls. I'm not that brave!

Black Lower Dash, Blue SRi Dash Trims & Steel Wheel Bolts

Hello all. Been a while since I posted here (December 2013 according to the search feature). Moving house soon & have had to clear out a lot of old stuff. In sorting out the shed I found a few old 406 bits that I never got rid of & thought I'd offer them up here before they get disposed of. All offe...
