MJB, Thanks for the info, as I said second thing I checked was the oil level ( to see if it had used any ) I do know a bit about diesels & knew that because it stopped @ 5000rpm & turned off that it was not running on it's own sump oil. Anyhow not sure yet if the floor mat interfered with the throtl...
