I was getting just a tad under 50 mpg out of my 110 in the warmer weather but thats dropped 2-3 mpg now it's colder,considering the mid 20's i get from my 3ltr petrol BMW i think the Peugeot is brilliant on fuel!

I just snipped the wires down at the caliper and left the male part of the plugs in the connector to keep the rubbish out,no more lights on the dash,the near side is still conected.

I fitted the "kite" style alloys yesterday and they look quite smart i must admit,the only problem i had was that the wheel bolts fitted to my car at the moment would not fit the "kite" alloys so it was off to the scrappy to get 16 thinner shaft ones.

I have the nimrod style fitted as standard to my Rapier but on the back of the wheel it says "ouragan",i suppose that is what the style name is?

There are wear sensors on both sides so as long as you don't have sticky calipers the pads should wear evenly on both sides so when the other side is down and the light comes on they all should need replacing,my 5 series BMW has only sensors on 1 side,when i think back over the years only a handful ...

My light came on faintly when i braked and the pads were only 3 months old,it was worse when it rained and when i eventually took the wheel off i found that one of the sensor wires had just been rubbing on the inside of the wheel rim and had exposed the inner core of the wire hence the light coming ...

I have a 2002 rapier hdi 110 estate and are looking for a spare set of wheels to put my winter tyres on,my question is,what 15" peugeot alloy wheels will fit a 406? There are loads of sets on ebay etc from 206's,306's etc but what will fit a 406,any info much appreciated.

Mine has 205/60/15's all round as standard (2002 hdi 110 Rapier est),google:visual tyre size calculator,it is a good site for comparing different sizes etc

Well tried the winter tyres out in anger today (Derby to Oxford) and what a difference over normal tyres,well impressed,hardly any wheelspin and the car goes basically where you want it to go,best money i've spent in a long time!

Just fitted a pair of Goodyear ultragrip 7+ m+s tyres to the front of mine,never tried winter tyres before but a mate of mine fitted them to the front of his 2.1td and last year he said he was the only car able to get out of his housing estate (except 4x4's) so i will see how it goes.

I must have something wrong then as unless i want to tow at 60mph+ i would not be able to stay in 5th,how heavy is your caravan (mptlm)?

Don't quote me on this but i thought i heard a while back that Ford had the patent on the quickclear heated screen and that is why no other manufacturer can use them,might be wrong but come to think of it i can't think of any other make of car that has them.
