Re: and today i have mostly been...

Eric, can't you use a Bypass relay kit and standard wiring and save a few quid over the dedicated wiring? I fitted one to my BMW when i wired up the towbar,o.k. it doesn't turn off the rear fog when towing or cancel the rear parking sensors but i've never once towed in the fog and as you say you can ...

Re: 406's.........the future is bleak!!

It needs an o/s front wing due to laquer peel which makes it look a bit shabby,on the plus side it's had new front springs and strut top bearings, new rear wheel bearings/hubs,cambelt,water pump etc,new radiator, new rad fan (not cheap),new exhaust from cat back, and everything works except for the A/C...

Re: 406's.........the future is bleak!!

Re: Problem with RPM on Peugeot 407

It looks to me a bit like the revs rise and fall when the clutch pedal is being depressed and released?

Re: New 'stricter' MOTs...

It is my understanding that even with the old MOT rules if the car was deemed "dangerous" by the MOT tester it would have got an off the road notice and could not legally be driven no matter how much of the old MOT was left, I should have said in my original post that if the car fails on a non "dang...

Re: New 'stricter' MOTs...

My Estate went straight through the MOT today with just a couple of advisories :D ,i was chatting to the tester and i said to him that i believe if the car had failed then it would then be illegal to drive it from then on although it still had 2 weeks of the original MOT to run,he said that is a com...

Re: Crank pulley bolt problem

In my experience once a thread has picked up it's game over,it's a weird phenomena no amount of force will undo it but it will do up again, not really a feesable option but the only way i can see to save the threads in the crank is to drill the bolt out.

Re: Rear door handle

I had exactly the same problem with my drivers rear door on my estate some months ago,i wish i had changed the door lock mechanism when it was just "playing up" and openong on occasions but it failed shut totally in the end.The door card was reasonably easy to remove with the seat base removed with ...
