Re: Suspect rear wheel bearing problem

I had a mate who owed me a favour did both the rears on my car a while back, all i was getting was a droning noise, not knocking etc.I managed to source 2 genuine hub assemblies from ebay and as far as i know it's just a matter of removing the centre nut and pulling the old hubs off. You'll need to mak...

Re: Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

The Titanium X Sport came with red stitching as standard i think and 2011 onwards the bhp was raised from 175 to 200 although some say the 175 is a better engine

Re: Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

With the sport suspension it's like driving a hot hatch wrapped up in an estate bodyshape. :D

Re: Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

I'm starting to get used to the fuel consumption vs the performance it has and the tax is £195 so it could have been worse i suppose,it's got 61k on the clock with 7 ford main dealer stamps in the book so hopefully (fingers crossed) things that needed doing have been done,it's obviously got a dpf wh...

Re: Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

Well i've gone and been and done it,i've now got a 2011 Mondeo 2.2 Titanium Sport X estate (200ps) with 61k on the clock, they class it as a MK 4.5 First impressions are very good except the fuel consumption, gone are the heady days of nearly 50 mpg from the 406 as i am now down to high 30's low 40's ...

Re: Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

I'm keeping the 406 on a multicar for the time being as i don't want to part with it untill i'm fully settled with the Mondeo,i suppose the Mondeo 2.2 engine is a Peugeot derivative so should be o.k.

Re: Mondeo 2.0/2,2 tdci

Well i've gone and done it,put a deposit down on 2011 Mondeo 2.2 Titanium X Sport estate with 60k on the clock rightly or wrongly. I felt like i was cheating on the 406 as it did the 300 mile round trip to go and look at the Mondeo :( ,can't bear to part with the 406 so trying to get multicar insura...

I think your right, I think if I want one in the condition I'm after I'm going to have to raise my budget or just keep the 406

Re: MOT history gap

The gap was before they had it,it seemed to average 10k a year since it was 3 years old and over the gap it 20k so it was probably on the road during the missing year,i know a while back when i mot'd my Pug the system was down and i had to have a hand written temp certificate and when the system was...
