Re: antipolution system defective

So there is a little plot-twist in here.. I think the issue might have been solved after all by replacing the MAF sensor. It's just the error that I cannot read/delete from PP2000. As I checked the PP2000 again, the error was still there, but I cannot even read it nor delete it. It's been like this ...

Re: How to fix stuck rear middle seat belt mechanism.

A) Giving it a go regardless 8) B) Not having one of your eyes gouged out by the spring :( C) Managing to put it back together again. Yeah, it would be wise to wear some eye protection at least, but in retrospect.. you probably don't even need to open the spring side and could do the repair with in...

How to fix stuck rear middle seat belt mechanism.

I folded the rear seats down and the belt in the middle got stuck and would not unlock and was very tense when I returned the seat back. After fiddling with it for a few minutes I got it even worse and I was not even able to lift the rear seat anymore. So here is how I fixed it: First I removed the ...

Re: How to retrieve PIN?

Hey cwhaley, if you know your PIN to your car you can program it yourself, but you will need a lexia 3 cable that usually comes with pp2000 when you buy it on ebay.. or if you are in or around Manchester area I could do the programming part for you. If your key is missing the transponder chip, you c...

Re: How to retrieve PIN?

The transponder isn't involved in the remote central locking, it's for the immobiliser and communicates via the receiver ring around the ignition lock. That's even more puzzling then.. why it's the remote locking/unlocking not working when I put the chip back to it's designated spot :?: I thought t...

Re: Windscreen wipers don't park and won't stay on and the auto sensor doesn't appear to work

Check wiper relay behind the fuse box for any cold soldering spots. All I did is simple google search for: wipers issue 406 and the first link took me right back to this forum  https://www.406oc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=11094 I had similar issue with fan blower where it would work randomly and it ...

Re: How to retrieve PIN?

I have an interesting update.. I've managed to program and sync the key and it is now fully working as you would expect, but this was of course not without problems. The programming procedure went smoothly on first try, entered PIN, followed the simple instructions until the syncing instructions whe...

Re: AC pressure equal on low and high side.

I did some research regarding this issue and everything is pointing to the compressor issue: https://i.imgur.com/UXlplis.png So I will have to try either to repair the compressor or buy a new one.. suprisingly there is a massive selection of new compressors online. On autodoc website they have 20, y...

Re: How to retrieve PIN?

So, after reading about the pin in another post in here that somebody just asked their Peugeot dealer and they gave him the pin for £20, I was like yes, that's perfect.. I can pay £20 happily to get my PIN.. so I called to one of the peugeot delears on Friday just before close and they told me they ...

Re: How to determine the correct part if there is Since/Until OPR?

Nice, and when it finally starting make sence I get something like this: https://i.imgur.com/v9DoUFH.jpg Both parts are Sing OPR 09338 which is lower than my OPR number... but there is that 'and age >= 2' what does that mean? Can both parts be used? Actually there are 3 part numbers are marked in re...

Re: antipolution system defective

Thanks Ginger, that was very helpful.. I cleaned the EGR valve today as you suggested as that do not cost anything. Not sure if it will do anything tho.. it was quite a pain to get it out from behind the engine.. and then back again. I will check the PP2k tomorrow and if we assume the MAF is not fau...

Re: How to determine the correct part if there is Since/Until OPR?

I've checked both of my strut tops and there is nothing and on the sticker there are 2 numbers 0943789 and 20203 but none of them looks like is the correct length. Do I just read them wrong or am I looking in wrong places?

AC pressure equal on low and high side.

I've tried to sort the AC on the new 406.. totally expected there will be a leak somewhere, but to my surprise the vacuum held perfectly. It was a bit strange tho, as I only vacuumed the low line, but both low and high were showing vacuum in there... so it was a bit suspicious. I decided to try to r...

Re: antipolution system defective

GingerMagic: Yep.. as you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/Z04wNvH.jpeg I have rechecked the errors in PP2000 and the permanent fault is back, but only in PP2000.. there is nothing on dashboard or display. As this would pass MOT, I am not too much bothered with it... but still, wonder why it came b...
