Re: Another 307 issue BSI has lost VIN code

Thanks Jon, I remember reading your post about this, but don't trust myself to do the soldering etc. The car's worth maybe £6/700 tops as a runner, so I think swapping a working set of ecu/bsi/key transponder chip will be the easiest/cheapest way around it. (I guess I can mount the transponder chip...

Re: Another 307 issue BSI has lost VIN code

If the BSI EEPROM is indeed corrupted then it can't be reconfigured. Assuming that everything else in the BSI is OK, the EEPROM can be wiped to 0xFF all over to 'virginise' it, then it can be configured as a new BSI in PP2000. Alternatively a replacement BSI can be sought and configured as a new one...

Re: Front roll bar drop links,,, who's?

They're not OEM, but they are very good in my experience.

I happened to find a pair of genuine Pug track arms on eBay a while back, and Lemforder rear droplinks were fitted at the same time, and at present are still holding up just as well as the genuine Pug links.

Not sure about that model, looks a bit half-arsed and a bit desperate to shift the last few models which farted off the production line before the much* improved* 407 Coupe arrived.

Indeed, 210bhp. Lovely car, wish I could've kept it, but circumstances dictated its sale at the time :(

Re: 406 Coupe 2.2HDi Permanent ABS Solenoid Fault

We had issues on one of the rear ABS sensors caused by water ingress in the driver's footwell.

There's several connectors under there, perhaps one of them is the one mentioned? Worth having a look anyway.
