Re: Saga Free Breakdown Cover
I maintain an AA policy which I take out new every year, as the renewal price is always higher than new. It's nice to have the peace of mind with an older car which I use for family holidays towing the caravan. I have it purely for the "tow me to where I want to go" Relay cover to get the car home (...

I found diclofenac (an anti-inflamatory usually used for back and joint pain) worked best on the pain. Normal paracetamol wouldn't touch it.

They currently have a 40 mile speed limit on a stretch of the A30 over Bodmin Moor where they are finally dueling it. It is enforced by average speed cameras. On a motorway Average speed cameras (at 50) are a pain, but you can usually just sit there holding the speed pretty well. This section on the...

I had cluster style headaches for a year, around my temples, but would spread / move all over to the sides of my head, top or even back. They didn't tend to be 'bad' but the near constant presence of them doesn't half wear you down.. Diagnosed as Stress, then possibly infection with antibiotics, the...

+1 for not using plastic. We had them fitted in the bathroom of my sisters house when she was at uni and they succeeded in drenching the kitchen ceiling twice in 3 years

Re: The practice of Undertaking cars
The 406 (estate) has a mahoosive blind spot on the passenger side. I recently had the pleasure* of transporting some 4ft by 7ft piece of 4mm ply. The sheets fitted fine in the car when bent round so that it arced from the passenger side door capping to the drivers side roof grab handle. The length m...

RHD Brake pedal linkage
My Brake pedal is slow to return. Everything else works fine (brakes function fine, pedal has good feel, new calipers fitted etc) which leaves the return spring in the servo (?) or the linkage. I plan to start by checking the linkage is free, does this run inside the cabin, or in the engine bay? how...

Am i right in thinking that you just fit the plate, no ECU changes required?Doggy wrote: biggest single improvement you can make to a 2.2 is blanking the EGR - completely transforms the low speed response.
