Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

The headunit that was in it has been painted in Cossack Grey to match the rest of the dash trim, plus I think it was different to the one in the pic you gave as it didn't have a built in display, it used the MFD. I'd rather sell the whole mirror assembly instead of just the sensor, however I'm prett...

Re: WTB - 406 Bosch model ECU (1998)

I've got a spare 2.1TD ECU. Not sure how much postage would be to Australia though. I'd be after £25 for the ECU plus the postage cost.

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

Will do Pilch, how are you planning on paying and I shall send the according details. CalamityJames, pretty sure the dipstick on mine is knackered too. OdinEidolon - Drop links I can sort, wing mirrors aren't retractable I'm afraid, and which rear lights? I've got 2 sets, the clear version and the c...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

I don't see why not, if you fancy arranging your own courier then that'd be fine by me! :D Omega, will get protectors and deflectors sorted today. OdinEidolon - The courier cost to Italy for the pads would be about £25 inc VAT, so you'd have to factor that on top of the brake prices. That said, it s...

Pilch, yes it does all 4 windows and mirrors. Like I said, I've got 2 of them so no real rush.

Plod, I know exactly what you mean. Temptation is a b!tch! :x

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

OdinEidolon - I shall have an investigate and come back to you in the next couple of days with regards to a postage price. Pilch - I have 2 fully working D9 drivers side window switch panels, and the D9 vents are yours if you want them. Say £40 couriered for one of switches and the vents? highlander...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

TBH, the price of new disks in your country will probably be a similar price as the postage cost as they are bloody heavy, and the disks are nothing fancy. They are also just the standard plain GSF type disks IIRC. I've just remembered I've also got a set of brand new boxed Goodridge braided brake h...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

I honestly couldn't tell you whether they'd for the later 2.2HDi, what I can say is that they are the 288mm discs. I also can't really comment on wear speeds but from the Green Stuff pads I've had in the past, they seem to last a similar length of time, also they produce a lot less brake dust so you...

D8 parcel shelf, it does have the cubby hole for the first aid kit and also comes with the rear window blind.

Re: My 98 2.1TD Executive

Now breaking, see the post on the For Sale forum here . Bit sad to be honest, but it has to go. I'm starting to get a bit agrieved with it just sat there as I just don't have the impedus to carry on with it anymore. Still, it has been a good 2 years of ownership and for what I paid for it I can't re...

HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

With the whole saga of the immobiliser, and the fact that I'm now an Audi driver, I'm going to break my 406 pictured below. :( The car is pretty much mint, save for a few marks here and there, I will mention these when selling. I also have a few other spares and bits and pieces which I have collecte...

Re: Time to say goodbye? Anyone fancy my 406?

406 is back in one piece more or less, I just can't get the bloody immobiliser to disarm so would need the ECU unlocked and the water system bled, one of the fan belt pulleys and a fan belt then that should be the engine done. If someone were to offer £600 then I'd be happy with that. Considering it...

Re: Time to say goodbye? Anyone fancy my 406?

Well so far, the Audi experience has been a mixed one. I picked up the car for £400 with a few faults which I knew about, and a few I didn't. The bodywork was in a pretty shocking state rustwise. Dentwise it was pretty straight but missing a few bits of trim. I have cleaned up the bodywork almost co...
