Re: Eolys and Morlocks

James, probably a stupid question but, when my bro's FAP goes tits-up would it be possible to rip it all off, stick it in the bin and fit the Ovlov filter?

Breakers? I'd bet they don't sell many of them and it'll give you experience of taking the headlining out. :)

Have some patience! about 3 years ago BMW developed a maintainance free particulate filter, and about a year ago Volvo followed suit using there truck diesel technology to develope the same thing, though PSA have the technology to develop it, they love the FAP system too much :cr...

[William Shatner]I mean, down here there are literally hundreds and thousands of blinking, beeping, and flashing lights, blinking and beeping and flashing - they're *flashing* and they're *beeping*. I can't stand it anymore! They're *blinking* and *beeping* and *flashing*! Why doesn't somebody pull ...

Holy bullcrap Batman!!! The dealer will buy your car for 800 squids, spend 20 quid max on a valet, put it on his forecourt for 2,300 and flog it for about 2,000. He probably won't even have checked the oil!

Re: Eolys and Morlocks

Diesel cars are getting way, way too complicated. If I had managed to track down a 2,2 (rare as rocking horse sh*t) I'd really be kicking myself now. Before I bought this one I was thinking about an LPG conversion 'cos it's about half the price of diesel here, which itself is still cheaper than petr...

We've been reading horror stories about taking it to the dealers when the filter's full, expecting them to just clean them out. The regeneration sould do the trick but when it doesn't the dealers are saying they need a new fi...

Re: What's wrong with your Pug?

When I got my D9 I found one of the rear calliper sliders was siezed. I had to take the calliper off to free it and it looked like it hadn't been greased when it was assembled. I cleaned it ip and stuffed it back in the calliper, then I used a syringe (it came with dog wormer, before you ask) to squ...
