Cambelt kit and bottom pulley.

Just about to have my cambelt and bottom pulley done on my 406 HDi, and because of what I want, my local garage has advised me to buy the parts and he will do it for me. So I'm after the best and most cost effective place to get them. So I need: A Gates cambelt kit with water pump. Front crank oil s...

Bottom pulley change HDi

Am I correct in assuming that you can change the bottom pulley on a 406 HDi for a 307 one, or did I dream that up?

Re: Fire up the Quattro!

(Old man mode.) I was fortunate enough to be around when these motoring icons were being used for what they were built for, and first set eyes on the Quattro in 1984 on the RAC rally, when it was fighting against the 205 T16. IIRC, it was Hannu Mikkola v Ari Vatanen, which Ari won but the real stars...

Re: Replace switch buttom on one button key

I used the guy about 3 weeks ago.

Brilliant service, and my remote was in a far worse state than the op's.

Re: Arm rests

Right.

Took the arm rest off today, and it's foobarred. All the inside at the bottom of the guide pins is broken, so it looks like I was correct in that it's been forced down in it's life.

So I need to get another, but am at a loss as to the colour.

Where will I find the trim code?

Re: Arm rests

Thanks.

I'll take a look at that.

I take it the part is available from the dealers?

Arm rests

My passenger seat arm rest is floppy, as in it looks like it may have been forced down at some point in it's life.

Any way to rectify the floppiness? (Oooeeerrrr missus. )

Re: Whistling turbo

My current HDi isn't as loud as my previous one, but I do like the sound of it.

Would like to make it whistle a bit more without losing boost though.

Re: Door sill rubber

Amazing that Peugeot can supply the rubber, but not enough clips to put it on. Picked mine up this morning, went home and found that it had 7 clips short. As it was around lunchtime, the parts dept was closed, so ordered 20 off a seller in Darlington, on E.Bay for £2.95 inc post. They should ...

Re: Air bag pre tensioner plug

The horn does work, just ask the wife.....

Seriously though.

Yes it does, but needs a lot of effort, and only seems to work at the bottom of the horn push.

Air bag pre tensioner plug

Which plug is it for the air bag pre tensioner on a 2002 HDi?

Got the light on, (Has been on since I bought the car 3 months ago.) and it is the next thing on my list to do. Work in progress and all that.

Re: Door sill rubber

Just had a look at the passenger side one, and it has a split in it, but it'll do for now, whereas the drivers side didn't have one fitted when I bought the car.

Re: Key turns in lock but doesnt open the door

Like I say Steve, I would use the guy again, and would recommend other Peugeot users to do so, and no, I have no connection with them.

It would have cost me more in the bits alone, and then the time to fix it, so it was a no brainer really.

Re: Door sill rubber

It was the door sill rubber, the one that runs along the top of the sill from front to back, not the door gasket that runs around the door aperture, and their price was cheaper than the other dealer 3 miles in the opposite direction!!! ( I have 2 dealers 3 miles away from my house in each direction....
