Re: Engine bay cleaning

Won't work on my D8, it's always gonna look awful 'cos some very intelligent person has sprayed it all with ignition sealer. It's a diesel you tw@

I like the idea of taking it somewhere for a clean, sounds like a lot less grief.

Re: Why do sites linked from here throw me out?

The links from this site don't open in new windows, they use the existing one. I'm sure there's something very clever and teknikal we could use to get round it but my low-tech solution is to right click the link and use "open in new tab/window".

Re: How can i make my HDI 110 more economical

Here's one. I've tapped in a few numbers, just to see if it works: Annual Mileage: 12,000 Current MPG: 30 Petrol cost (pence per litre): 98.3 (bloody hell! You poor b'stards!) LPG cost (pence per litre): 45.2 Your annual savings running on LPG. Petrol Cost Per Annum: £1,787.49 LPG Cost Per Annum: £...

Re: How can i make my HDI 110 more economical

Running a V6 and managing to drink £65 of fuel last week alone (how - I live 1.5 miles form work!!!) I wonder if an LPG conversion would make economic sense. If the running costs are halved it could pay for itself in just over a year  There's all sorts of sites for lpg conversions, most have...

Re: How can i make my HDI 110 more economical

True, but when you factor in the expense of the installation, the loss of the spare AND the drop in performance for no gain over the HDI in terms of economy....Only a masochist would go there  There would be a gain, maybe not there 'cos I'm a little out of date with UK prices but here lpg is ...

Re: What's wrong with your Pug?

my friend suggests where i have so many led's that maybe there is excess power and thats why my indicators flash so fast? Indicator relays usually go nuts when there's a bulb blown, I think it's a feature, so presumably it's not seeing enough current flowing through your leds and doing the same. I ...

Re: How can i make my HDI 110 more economical

LPG on a standard car will ultimately cost you about the same while having to contend with the loss of boot space care of the extra tank. Not necessarily, you can get a toriodal tank to go in the spare wheel well. This does mean loosing your spare wheel and carrying a can of tyre sealer of course, ...
