If it's the same one I've been hearing about, they closed both carriageways for at least 2 hours, cos it had an LPG conversion...

Re: Washers have died... Arggghhh!!!

I always used to use plain water as it never blocks the jets / pipes etc. & I've had to unblock loads of infrequently used, (usually rear) washers over the years. It freezes more regularly, but I didn't think there were that many occasions when screen wash would prevent a freeze-up. When I bought Pu...

Re: stearing wheel

Generally on ABS steering wheels there are 2 bolts/screws, one on either side of the airbag, undo these and then the airbag usually pops out. Pops out  Disconnect the wiring and then you have access to the big nut in the centre of the steering wheel. Possibly a 21mm (the one on my 309 is), s...

You need the later type 'mist' washer jets - either you won't be able to tell the colour of the gunk, or it'll never reach the screen :supafrisk:

Re: Stuck in snow with scary MFD warnings

Noticed another minor MFD anomaly this morning, temperature got down to -8 in sunny east northants.
The temperature doesn't flash when it gets below about -3 or -4.
What d'ya reckon, french logic dictates that below this level we all know it's cold therefore no need to flash?

Re: Anyone picked up any 'real' bargains?

I didn't see any evidence of real savings, just a few quid here & there. Got a posher tumble drier for £50 off, which didn't seem too bad until I discovered it didn't have the auto shut off feature I really wanted  My fault I wasn't really concentrating having hurt my back the day before. I du...
