Re: Strange jerking during driving. Injectors?

Having the MAF unplugged will put the light on, but on the 90 it's still okay to drive but the other engines will run rough.
If your running is largely unaffected by the MAF unplugged then it isn't faulty as such, maybe a clean with contact cleaner will help.

Re: Strange jerking during driving. Injectors?

You can check to see if your throttle position sensor is clean, and you're throttle cable isn't too tight.

Have a look here, it shows the throttle cable and how to remove the sensor.

Re: Acceleration Issues / EGR?

Hdi 90 is a mechanical wastegate - only the 110 and 2.2Hdi are vacuum controlled However the EGR is vacuum controlled by the solenoids ( which are interchangeable) but I'm sure there is only one on your cars bulkhead - no harm in checking the vacuum lines. If you were to have a fully functioning EGR...

Re: Acceleration Issues / EGR?

To be honest I can't remember how my pedal behaved when the cable was slack - but 2cm free play is 2cm less throttle..... :cheesy: You can take up the slack from under the bonnet, you can even see how it works and how it's affecting the performance, it's a simple design but it's flawed by a simple c...

Re: Acceleration Issues / EGR?

Sorry, just to clarify... I mean the peg should hold the ribbed part in place once you have pulled the cable towards the bulkhead to take up the slack..... Don't make it too tight though as this sometimes causes error messages. If there is slack in the cable then you will never have enough throttle ...

Re: Acceleration Issues / EGR?

Firstly I would adjust the throttle cable, there should be a clip holding it in place but if it's pinged off then you'll have limited throttle - a clothes peg will do for the time being to keep the cable in place. The EGR valve may be stuck open so your air pressure is being diverted out of the exha...

Re: dpf warning light

There is no level sensor in the additive tank, you'll need to tell the Additive ECU that there is plenty in the tank so it won't have a hissy fit :cheesy:

If you add your location to your profile using the User Control Panel then maybe a member local to you could help out?

Re: dpf warning light

Hi. Don't worry about the glow plug message, it seems pretty much every Hdi has this and changing the plugs isn't necessary. If you've filled the additive tank then you'll just need to reset the counter which may need either booking in at a main stealer of finding a member here with the Peugeot Plan...

Happy New Year to you too Wiggy, glad to hear you are still keeping well ish .... Re: Car Struggling to go over 20 MPH

Hi. I would firstly suggest the most overlooked issue, and that is slack in your throttle cable. If you have slack then no matter how hard you press the accelerator pedal it won't actually reach as all you are doing is taking up the slack. Also, the Hdi90 has a solid flywheel which is good as less t...

Re: Switch next to diagnostic port

I'm sure the OBD port has its own fuse...

Are you trying to communicate with the car to find a fault? If so, not all code readers work on the 406.
