Just been looking at Service Box, when you strip this lot off the donut car you'll pretty much need all of it, clips, screws, the lot. And don't bother going after a D8 HDi 110, the intercooler on that is the 2.1/tubby full width radiator jobbie.

yes i was lucky an replied to a few "406 HDI breaking" ads on ebay till one turned up that was suitable and even then got him to take photos of all the pipes he had taken off! :D the hose clips are handy to have along with the bracket that holds the top hose onto the engine mount.

That pipework is from a newish 406 with the 'Air Dozer' fitted. Have you managed to get this thing working? if so, how? I would have thought it would receive a signal from the ECU? I know it requires the 'third' solenoid on the bulkhead.

I'm not sure if we ever got round to figuring out what the Air Dozer does but it certainly came about at the same time as the lower road tax band (emissions). I think it shuts as you turn the engine off to stop that sudden judder but dunno what else it does?

hmmm yeah wondered myself how it works. My hdi 90 had the same valve fitted but ob in a different place! just fitted the one that came with the new pipework to the same solenoid. If you look at the diags posted above you can see both systems had it. I know the 110 has a 3rd solenoid, not having looked at the engine i cant tell you what this or the 2nd solenoid goes to. But maybe its to do with the vacuum pipe off the intercooler that i blocked off? or i know the 110 has an externally controlled wastegate on the turbo by the ecu where as the 90 is very old fashioned and seems to work direct from the turbo?
