110 HDI (2000) Air Filter Box lid broken

Hi all, one of the screw tabs on the box lid has broken, so the lid does not seal properly. I am concerned that this allows unfiltered air into the engine - does this sound likely? I guess the main stealer price will be high, so hope to get one from eBay or a local scrapyard. Any hints and advice gratefully received. Regards, Springnuts.

I am having a similar problem.

I am going to have another go at it this week, so will post if I have any success (or have another rant if I don't).

a have a spare box with a new filter in it if u want it
